Volunteering VS Internship

Ever thought of working for free as a student and getting some kind of experience in your choice of field than Volunteering or internship is the best option to do. Nevertheless you could also try out for a job and get to learn new things if you are capable enough.

What is volunteering?

Volunteering is generally considered an altruistic activity where an individual or group provide services for no financial gain" to benefit another person, group or organization". Volunteering is also renowned for skill development and is often intended to promote goodness or to improve human quality of life. Volunteering may have positive benefits for the volunteers as well as for the person or community served. It also intended to make contacts for possible employment. Many Volunteers are specifically trained in the area they work, such as medicine, education or emergency rescue. Others serve on an as-needed basis, such as response to natural disaster.

From my point of view, i would better describe it as "doing work for free and get to learn something new and increase our own network for our benefit". this is what my personal experience says. I have been volunteering at various events and techfest that one day am soon gonna organize my own event. and apart from that I never thought I would be a campus ambassador for who;e lot of good companies. ( my journey to campus ambassador would come up soon) . there's another perk if you are lucky enough you could even get a chance to get a stipend for volunteering after all its all your luck

What is internship?

An internship is a period of work experience offered by an organization for a limited period of time. Once confined to medical graduates, the term is now used for a wide range of placements within businesses, non-profit organizations, and government agencies. They are typically undertaken by student and graduates looking to gain relevant skills and experience in their particular field. Employers benefit from these placements because they often recruit employees from their best interns, who have known capabilities, thus saving time and money in the long run. Internship is usually arranged by third-party organizations which recruit interns on behalf of industry groups. Rules vary from country to country about when interns shol=uld be regarded as employees. The system can be open to exploitation by unscrupulous employers.

Now talking about the internship is like volunteering for a long period of time wherein you are paid for doing that work. If you are hired as an intern in some of the reputed organization then some may pay and some may not. That's what I learn, I had been an ex-intern at Gurugram cyber cell in the year 2017 (for 2 months) wherein we were taught how to prevent hacking and lot more stuff regarding cybersecurity.

What are jobs?

what are jobs? part-time or full time what the heck is that? a lot of you might think its better to get a job rather than internship and volunteer. mark my words- an internship can always land you in a job you deserve. and what a company expects is hiring an experience person rather than a newbie for the post

In short, if you think you want to be the limelight of something than maybe an internship or volunteering would be the best option. and if you are pro at something go for a job
